There’s a variety of discussions, so you can pick the ones that you care about the most. The roundtable discussions brought the conference to life because I could hear not just from the speakers, but also from all the attendees. This gave me so much more to take away from the conference. There was a vendor showcase so you could spend time with each vendor to truly understand what they’re doing. This encouraged active dialogue that made the conversation richer. What makes the event different is the way it’s designed and executed. You get a chance to speak with everybody and get to know them better.

One of the key benefits of going to a conference like this is to actually open up, talk to other people, and find out how others are integrating similar concepts. It’s so important to actually have those social interactions, and this conference by its very nature keeps the subject focused. You don’t just break into a social commentary, but are able to gain several opinions across several O&G companies.

Having been a regular presenter at other conferences, was particularly impressed with the round robin approach in the exhibitor area. The exhibitors experienced the most traffic and ability to clearly share benefits of their products, and attendees received in depth exposure to advantages of vendor offerings, without feeling pressured by sales contacts to engage on the spot or later.
